For individual therapy

I’ve been working with adult children of immigrants who struggle with anxiety, depression, relationship issue, codependency, adults’ ADHD, boundaries issues, and trauma. In therapy, I collaborate with my clients on finding effective ways of communication, changing irrational beliefs, learning/setting healthier boundaries, and identifying/expressing emotions. I try to assist them to interpret their issues from different angles. Although it can be challenging to achieve our therapeutic goals, I trust that my clients can work through this journey because they’re resilient and strong.

I assist clients to practice redefining themselves and re-establishing healthier behavioral and emotional patterns based on CBT, strength-based, Attachment & Family system lenses. The most important thing is making sure my clients feel understood. That is why I want to support more clients to reconnect to themselves by analyzing their reality and patterns.

You’re not alone. I understand that we sometimes may feel like we have nothing or nobody in our lives. It makes us feel like we are walking alone through a long and dark tunnel. I believe that therapy can be a lamplight to navigate your paths to get out. Together, we can strengthen your tools to reconnect with yourself and your environment.

For couples therapy
I believe that sometimes we need to have outside help to sort our issues more properly and easily, and couples therapy can be one of them. I have a passion to support couples who want to figure out their new journey together. Especially, I’ve been working with multicultural/interracial couples who want to figure out boundaries issue, infidelity, family conflicts, more than one partner’s mental health issues, (such as ADHD, anxiety and depression) or cultural understanding issues in couples therapy.

Based on Gottman, CBT and attachment theory, I encourage couples to have realistic goals and visions as well as support them to be on present. I also assist my clients actively to practice with me on how to improve their communication skills and critical thinking so that they can enhance their problem-solving skills. Lastly, we will discuss our cultural influence to learn each other with psychoeducation. Our therapeutic goal is not about fixing one of partner. It is more about accepting each partner’s personality and creating mutual culture through therapy.
