Bio

After a 16 year career in the arts, I entered into psychology in an effort to do something more directly prosocial. I partner with people to carefully and respectfully examine the details of their lives and notice the links between their inner experiences, their cultures, their identities, their relationships, and the bigger social and historical forces that serve as the background to their family history. My approach has been described has highly empathetic, caring, and productive and people have found that exploring their lives in this way has helped them to feel more alive, more connected to themselves and others, more capable of responding with resilience to life’s current challenges, more flexible, and more effective in their lives.

While I consider myself capable of working with a wide range of people and issues, I have particular comfort working with people of Asian or Pacific Island descent, immigrants, refugees, artists, those who hold leadership positions, and people active in politics. I also do my best to make my services accessible and reserve a number of slots for people that cannot afford my full fee.

The right fit is so important for therapeutic outcomes. If you are curious about working together or have questions, I invite you to reach out via email or phone. I assure you that I am happy to speak with you, even if we do not end up working together. I do my best to respond to messages on the same day – I look forward to hearing from you.
