Hi! Xin Chào,

My name is Sara and I am a clinical trainee therapist with a Masters in Social Work. My family are immigrants from Vietnam and I was born here in the U.S. and I am conversationally fluent in Vietnamese. I am passionate about working alongside individuals who want to improve their mental health and process their feelings. I do so by using a variety of therapeutic models and centering the therapeutic relationship along with the strengths of the client. I firmly strive towards anti-oppressive practice by being collaborative and acknowledging the ways in which oppression has harmed and continues to harm communities. I am an advocate and care for social justice. I also have lived experiences that have continued to encourage me to normalize mental health care in Asian American communities. I embrace both concepts of how culture can be a part of healing and the intergenerational trauma that has been passed down.
