Bio

Finding the right therapist can be tricky, you might have asked yourself questions like “will they “get” me?”, “do they know what it’s like to feel torn in multiple directions?” Or maybe, if you are anything like me, you have asked yourself “is there something wrong with me?”, “where are the therapists that look, even vaguely, like me?” As a half-Asian, bicultural woman of color, I’m passionate about supporting others who live at the intersection of multiple identities.

I get it. We all deserve to find healing and wellness with a therapist that truly understands us, the cultures that have shaped us, and our intersecting identities.

I strive to be that therapist that listens with her whole heart and is compassionately present as we collaborate on your personal healing journey through trauma, depression, self-worth, identity exploration, shame, and navigating the demands of living within complex systems of oppression.

To me, therapy is a sacred space for radical authenticity, deep connection, and a downright magical opportunity for two humans to resonate in a therapeutic relationship. A personal sanctuary that helps you move from surviving to thriving, from playing small to asserting your full self, and having fun along the way.

From years teaching abroad in Asia, to teaching special needs and gifted students here in Texas, to career counseling and community based mental health care, I’ve been able to offer care to communities of color and those with historically oppressed identities. I believe in an integrated version of wellness that celebrates the cultures of the individuals I work with.

I am allied with all members of the BIPOC community, LGBTQ+, Asian Americans, multiracial individuals, millennials, those in college, bicultural individuals, religious minorities, people of size, and first-generation individuals. I am also well aligned to work with highly sensitive individuals. Further, as a person with co-existing light skin/white privilege and minority status, I am very comfortable broaching conversations around racial identity development, white fragility, and liberatory psychology.

So how does this all work? Learn more about the details at at the bottom of this page.
