I’m a Filipino-Japanese woman and a second-generation immigrant. As a BIPOC individual, I have first-hand experience with dealing with first-generation immigrant parents, as well as high academic, athletic, and personal expectations.
A personal quote that I’d like to share with others is, “Practice makes progress, not perfect.” We often don’t notice how far we’ve come until we sit back and look back on how much we’ve accomplished or changed. I would love to acknowledge your resiliency and support your goals.
Struggling with feelings of pressure, anxiety, stress, or conflict in important relationships can feel very isolating, lonely, and hopeless. You may begin to feel stuck, or turn to unhelpful ways of dealing with unwanted stress or emotions. More often than not, this takes a toll on your health, mood, relationships, and overall functioning. I want you to know that you are not alone – I can help. As a dedicated, caring professional I strive to understand and support you in addressing your unique issues, history and experience, focusing on the goals most important to you.
My mission is to support clients in overcoming challenges that keep them stuck and miserable, and help them achieve the life they want and deserve to live. With a compassionate, strength-based and culturally sensitive approach centred around the unique needs of each individual, I first and foremost value the relationship built with each client.
Finding the right support is crucial to achieving your goals. I rely on a foundation of experience, evidence-based strategies and personally tailored treatment plans to support you in promoting meaningful, lasting change, personal growth and fulfillment. There is hope for the tomorrow you envision. Send me a message, and let’s take the first step together.
