Navigating our identities, desires, relationships, and authentic selves can be exhilarating, scary, isolating, and anxiety-inducing. Understanding how our families, values, cultures, immigration stories, and systems of oppression impact us can also feel overwhelming. With a warm, open, and non-judgmental style, I provide individual therapy for those hoping to understand themselves better and make empowered decisions. I also offer queer-affirming and culturally-humble sex therapy for those looking to expand their sexual lives, relationships, and pleasure.
Therapy with me looks like collaboration, exploration, and action. With a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach, together we can expand your inner resources, self-knowledge, and patterns to meet the goals you set for yourself. Adapting to your needs for your therapeutic space, therapy can be structured, focused on resources, a place to process feelings, and much more.
I have centered issues of sex, gender, and race throughout my graduate work, clinical training, and professional career, especially the issues facing Asian Americans. From holding spaces for pan-Asian community building, facilitating solidarity actions with other communities, exploring the impact of immigration and intergenerational trauma, and providing care for queer Asian Americans, I am honored to serve my community as a psychologist, instructor, and academic writer. As a queer mixed Filipina femme, I know first-hand the power of affirming, culturally humble care and I strive to provide this for others. Grounded in the values of care, connection, and liberation, I hope to help clients cultivate their possibilities for authenticity, connection, and thriving.
