I am passionate about working with individuals to address issues such as emotional regulation, self-esteem issues, cultural conflict, stress management, and life transitions. As an Asian therapist practicing in the U.S., I have extensive experience working with different generations of Asian immigrants, multicultural individuals, and others in marginalized communities. I aim to bring mental health services to underserved communities in a linguistically appropriate and culturally sensitive manner. With my friendly and humble personality, I establish a compassionate, comfortable and safe space for my client to be where they are.
I utilize a wide range of therapy approaches including EMDR, Trauma-focused-CBT, ACT, Strength-based, Solution-focused, Culturally-sensitive, Evidence-based, Motivational Interviewing, and Client-centered approaches, etc.
I always tell my client that therapy is like a road trip. I will be sitting in the passenger seat to guide and support the driver, YOU, to confront with any challenge along this way, but you are one who is driving this car in the whole trip of your life. I trust you and empower you to be your own expert in this healing process. Now, let me be your passenger!
