Kimmy is a passionate Taiwanese-American psychotherapist and mental health advocate who provides trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and sex and kink-affirming therapy services. She approaches therapy with an intersectional and psychodynamic framework to help individuals and couples from all walks of life navigate life transitions and face challenges related to self-worth, perfectionism, identity, shame, sexuality, career, relationships, and overall well-being.

Kimmy believes that the foundation for effective therapy is a brave space that embodies curiosity, safety, compassion, empathy, accountability, and, most importantly, hope. While she acknowledges that therapy isn’t going to be comfortable all the time, she is intentional with meeting her clients’ discomfort with a nuanced balance of mindfulness and comradery.

Kimmy received her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University. She previously held a career in corporate marketing and nonprofit work. As an immigrant and career changer, her life journey of shifts and pivots informs her belief in humans’ capacity for change and growth—which plays a significant role in her belief in your potential.
