Bio

My therapeutic approach focuses on the strength and self-determination that you already possess. If you are feeling stuck about a situation or next steps in life, therapy can be a supportive way to explore, process, and cope with inner conflict instead of in a silo.

I work with multi-cultural individuals experiencing anxiety, stress, exhaustion. These experiences may stem from the many roles and identities you may hold while attempting to build your own life or creating boundaries while trying to navigate your family of origin, loved ones, peers, and multiple lived cultures. You may be going through life transitions, relational issues, or inner conflict due to challenging familial, societal and cultural expectations. You may want to be mindful of your family, loved ones, peers, but don’t know how to balance them with your own wants and needs.

My role is to provide a comfortable space for you to flesh out the issues you are experiencing; to help develop insight, self-esteem and confidence; and to create new goals, thoughts and behavior patterns.

I have 10+ years of experience post graduating from Columbia University’s School of Social Work. I’ve provided short-term and long-term evidence-based therapeutic support in New York City for adults experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, relational issues, life transitions, and substance use. I have worked with clients from diverse racial, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds in social service settings and holistic healthcare programs serving children, adults and families.
