Hello! My name is Ivy. Seeking help and starting therapy is a courageous move. Sometimes the stress and the pain we feel is beyond our control and perception, leaving us feeling confused, frustrated, or hopeless. Therapy can be a space where we can safely unpack these feelings, explore our true selves, and grow to be more resilient and authentic. As a therapist, I create an open and empowering space for you to talk about the pain and refine your roles and goals. I use a relational approach in therapy, meaning that our relationship as client-therapist is a tool to learn about how you act and show up in relationships in general. I also use a trauma-informed lens that honors your personal history and cultural identities while integrating CBT and psychodynamic interventions.

Born and raised in China, I offer culturally inclusive, bilingual therapy. From personal experiences, I understand the cultural nuances and challenges to be Asian, woman, an international student, and so much more within this intersectional identity. I believe that oftentimes, the struggles and pain on an individual level have a systemic root. The social norms and expectations usually shape our values about what is normal and what is desirable. Together, we can break out these barriers and work towards becoming more fully of who you are and achieve your goals.
