“Model minority,” “perpetual foreigner,” and the mantra of “you need to study hard and work hard” — these images and stereotypes of Asian/Pacific Islander Americans limit and do not capture the array of experiences of APIA folks.  On top of these stressors, APIAs can be at increased risk for mental health symptoms (e.g. depression, anxiety, suicidality) due to the stigma about reaching out for help.  I appreciate your journey into seeking support and self-investment.

My APIA clients and I have also traversed the following topics together: coping with a parent who has a psychiatric diagnosis, navigating the 21st century challenges of dating/relationships, cultivating meaningful friendships, and seeking a sense of fulfillment outside of one’s job.

Please feel free to reach out to me (email is preferred) to schedule a free consultation session.
