Welcome! I’m so glad you are here. I work with AAPI clients who want to try something new in order to know themselves more deeply and fully. Are you ready to invest in re-building fulfilling relationships – within yourself and with others? Using Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, my role is to be a collaborative, compassionate witness who supports you as you explore and connect with parts of yourself that have been pushed away or ignored. Experiences I often work with include anxiety, grief, and trauma which can be caused by painful relationships, stressful life changes, and family/cultural expectations.
These parts of you may be stuck in the same old beliefs or feel burdened by stories others have told you about yourself. Some of these parts can be attached to identities and cultures that are marginalized or rejected by others. You can build new relationships with these parts and release these stories and beliefs, which creates more freedom and choice for yourself.
Internal Family Systems therapy empowers you to connect with yourself, family, friends, and partners in healthy ways. IFS is not simply a model of therapy for me. It is a practice that I integrate in my own life and with all parts of myself, particularly the parts of myself that are impacted by my culture, how others see me as an Asian woman, and more. I have experienced it as both a powerful and beautiful model of understanding ourselves and others. Therapy with me is safe, intentional, and supports your journey towards greater connection.
