As a psychotherapist, my goal is to help you navigate the challenges and confidently seek out your desired direction in life. My approach to therapy starts with the idea that people are doing the best they can with what they know and the resources they have. Although they sometimes get stuck with a singularly focused problem-filled narrative, people are not one-dimensional but instead have many stories, strengths, connections and challenges. Having a safe space to talk and explore can help bring new awareness, resilience, appreciation and capacities to the forefront.

I am a second generation Taiwanese American born in upstate New York. I spent most of my childhood on the East Coast before moving to California in high school. In college, I studied one year abroad in Japan before coming back to California where I currently live with my husband and two daughters. My life experience, including growing up with immigrant parents and maneuvering between cultures and identities, informs my work as a therapist.
