Dr. Angela Gwak is a multiculturally responsive NY & NJ licensed psychologist. She earned her Ph.D. from Columbia University. Her expertise include therapy for anxiety, depression, self-esteem/self-worth, life transitions, trauma, adult Third Culture Kids (TCKs) and multicultural identity concerns. She also focuses on relational difficulties in the context of career and dating, as well as social, couple, and family relationships.
Dr. Gwak is the founding director of Revive Psychology located in Manhattan, NYC. She earned her PhD from Columbia University in Counseling Psychology, where she received specialized training in multiculturally-responsive therapy approaches. Prior to her doctorate, she completed a Master’s degree in Couples and Family Therapy (MFT) with distinction from Drexel University. She has over a 15 years of clinical experience in various settings, including city hospitals, college counseling centers, schools, group private practice, and community behavioral health clinics.
She welcomes clients to reach out for in-person and/or virtual therapy.
