Bio

Perhaps you are feeling frustrated, feeling misunderstood and not yourself lately. Maybe you are a first-time parent (or fourth!) navigating how to juggle all your other identities with your new parent role. Maybe you are trying to work out some generational differences with your parents. Maybe you just want to be able to talk to your partner, sibling, in-laws, or metamour and feel seen, heard, and understood. If you are struggling to be on the same page with your loved ones, I am here to help you explore ways to create the kind of relationships you want in your life.

I was drawn to the practice of therapy because of my capacity to bear witness and honor the process of deep human emotion as people navigate their life’s challenges and joys. I consider myself a facilitator of client’s self-transformation and a mediator of relational conflict.

I am a Korean immigrant, who was raised in Southern California. My identity as a mother is important to me as a parent of two young children. I currently lead a life in what is seemingly a cis-het-mono-normative relationship as a queer person. As someone who grew up in what I call the “in-between” spaces – or as my good friend likes to say, liminal spaces, – I am interested in supporting how different identities within ourselves mesh and collide with one another, as well as in relationships and in society.

My hope is to create a safe, collaborative space with you in which you can explore your multiplicities and bridge the gaps that you may be experiencing, whether that is between generations, within yourself, and/or with your community. I look forward to speaking with you!
