Hi there,
I’m so glad you are here!
First off, I want to commend you for taking the first and brave step to prioritizing your mental health. I know that it can be a daunting process, especially if this is your first time seeking therapy.
My name is Angela and I am a 1.5 generation Taiwanese American therapist. I help Asian Americans find healing, break barriers, reclaim their empowered selves, and learn to take up space. In therapy, my areas of interest are Asian mental health, intergenerational/familial issues, racial/cultural stress, identity formation, relational issues, difficult life transitions, trauma, anxiety, and depression. I am EMDR-trained. In my coaching practice, I work with individuals who struggle with perfectionism, people-pleasing, and imposter syndrome. My approach is strength-based, culturally affirming, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive
If you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, burnt out, alone, anxious, or lost, I want you to know that you are in the right place. If you are dealing with stressors or past trauma, you are in the right place. If you feel like you want to continue self-growth, maintain you mental health, and feel empowered, you are in the right place.
In my work with you, we may laugh, we may cry, we may even get angry together. I hope to offer you a safe space to express anything and everything—free of judgement, shame, or criticism. I will hold hope for you when you feel hopeless, and be your biggest cheerleader and advocate .I believe healing is a never-ending process because it means that we are growing—and to grow means to go through growing pains. So where ever you are at in your journey, it would be an honor to be able to walk it with you.
