Anabel Helen, Registered Psychotherapist, MA

Sex/Gender: Female
Pronouns: She / Her
Ethnicity: Korean, Indonesian, Chinese

I help neurodivergent (autism, ADHD), queer, immigrant, and minority clients build their self-esteem and cultivate meaningful relationships. I also support students and working professionals with career transitions and stress management.

Poor boundaries, people-pleasing, and relationship anxiety can come about when you consistently receive the message that your needs are not as important as somebody else’s. Although masking your genuine self may have aided you through difficult times, losing touch with who you really are will only bring you farther from what you actually want and need.

Therapy is the time to finally look past the shame and other people’s expectations. Reconnect with your values and internalize a new message that your strength lies in what makes you different. Explore your thoughts and behaviors to break free from the patterns and relationships that no longer serve you.

Reach out and let’s learn what it means to be different, not less.
