It’s no small feat to do the work of exploring racial history, country of origin, intergenerational dynamics/trauma(s) and then having to navigate relationships. I can really empathize with this journey because I’ve been doing this work myself for the past decade. My place of birth is Vietnam. My childhood and adolescence were spent in Vietnam and Northern CA. Southern CA is where I grew into my adult identity. I circled back to the Bay Area after a decade of life in San Diego. It’s been an interesting process learning to navigate two very different cultures and figuring out how I fit in with the rest of the world. For me, it takes a lot of introspection and reflections, personal therapy, learning from mistakes, and acceptance.
I am a cishet female who goes by the pronouns she/her/hers. In my free time, I like crafting fridge meals (90% success rate), being a plant and cat mom, and spending time with my partner and loved ones. I’m also fan of slow and compassionate transition to low waste and sustainable consumption.
