Welcome! I’m really glad you’re here. Taking the first step toward seeking support is one of the most important decisions you can make, and it’s one that shows great strength.

You might be finding simple tasks overwhelming; even getting out of bed in the morning might feel like a monumental undertaking. Things that once brought joy may now seem dull. Perhaps you are feeling tension build up from constant undercurrent of “what ifs,” or feeling self-conscious or fearful of being judged, making everyday interactions burdensome. It can be exhausting to navigate life everyday when it feels as though everything drains you – but it doesn’t have to be this way.

Together, we can discuss how you would like to feel and function instead and incorporate practical skills to get you there. If you’re ready to create meaningful change and build a life with more balance and peace, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist providing individual psychotherapy to adults in New York City and New York State. I offer tailored treatment – whether you’re feeling overwhelmed adjusting to major life changes, stuck in a cycle of blame, shame, and regret, or feeling exhausted just getting through the day.

We’ll work together to understand your unique experience,  shifting any negative thought patterns and cultivating healthier behaviors, so you can navigate life’s challenges with more confidence. My goal is to help you feel empowered to take on the challenge of understanding yourself more deeply and embrace trying something different.

I completed my postdoctoral fellowship at Weill Cornell Medicine’s Cognitive Therapy Clinic, where I deepened my expertise in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). My clinical approach integrates CBT with other evidence-based modalities, such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT),  ensuring that treatment is both practical and adapted to you and your needs.

In our work together, we’ll focus on helping you:

  • Break free from unhelpful patterns of thinking and behavior
  • Recognize how these patterns influence how you feel
  • Develop new ways of responding both internally and externally
  • Gain a sense of control over  difficult emotions and reduce suffering
  • Improve relationships with more understanding and flexibility
  • Build resilience to improve how you manage life’s challenges

My approach is designed to help you apply these skills in a way that leads to lasting, meaningful change. Whether you’re ready to examine your thoughts, work through difficult emotions, or challenge the ways you respond to life, we’ll work together to create tangible progress. If this resonates with you, I encourage you to book a complimentary consultation with me here.

I also offer therapy in Korean.
