I truly believe human connections are the foundations of happiness and health. As an attachment-oriented therapist, I believe that we all have an innate desire to grow and find ways to get our needs met. Seeing through this compassionate, survival -focused attachment light, the so-called “problematic” behaviors always make sense to me. I work with attachment, relationship, process and the present moment.
As an immigrant myself, I understand the unique challenges and strengths that come with navigating different cultures, adapting to new environments, and building a sense of belonging. I bring this valuable perspective into my counseling work, creating a safe and empathetic space where clients can openly explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I help clients explore and find their unique identity, their inner voice and peace in who they are. In working with Asian American couples and families, I help them navigate cultural differences and set clear and healthy boundaries in relationships, heal from generational trauma and rebuild connection.
I provide youth, individual, couple and family therapy with specializations in working with Asian American-related struggles (biracial couples/acculturation/immigration experiences/intergenerational family pattern) and individuals and couples with neurodiversity issues (autism spectrum disorder, ADHD). Currently, I offer online therapy sessions for clients who live in Maryland as well as in Washington State. I provide therapy both in English and Chinese/Mandarin.
