Bio

Do you find that talking is hard? That music better expresses your thoughts and feelings? My name is Elaine and I am a Counselling Therapist and Certified Music Therapist. I am here to support your mental health needs including, managing your emotions, feeling confident in your identity, and providing direction in times of change and transition. In our sessions, we may talk, sing, improvise, write, and listen to music. No previous musical training or experience necessary, just willing to do something different.

As an active musician and therapist, I have a deep understanding of how music affects people in different ways. My approach is humanistic and strengths-based. Your sessions will be personalized to meet your unique needs. I am also a Chinese-Canadian and an adult third-culture kid (TCK), navigating cultural nuances with humility and sensitivity.

In this safe, non-judgmental, and sometimes fun space, I am here to listen. I will also guide you through opportunities for change and growth as you are ready. I will support you to make your experience a fulfilling one. If you’re ready to take that next step—whether it’s to talk, make music, or just figure out what’s next—I’d love to hear from you!
