Life transitions can be challenging: meeting personal, professional, societal, and family expectations can certainly add to feelings of anxiety and/or depression.  Even when the changes are positive, they can still push us beyond our comfort zone.   We will work together to find the balance in your life so you can learn to thrive instead of just surviving.
I focus on supporting and counseling adults 18 years old and older in the immigrant population, international students and professionals, and the BIPOC population. My background training includes the treatment of addiction, trauma, and mental health disorders. I am a bicultural, bilingual Asian sensitive to the needs of communities of color. I work with adults at different stages and consider myself an ally of the LGBTQ community.
I support my clients by utilizing an integrative and holistic approach incorporating Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, psychodynamic therapy, positive psychology, and motivational interviewing in my sessions. I believe in collaborating with my clients using a strength-based modality to develop their growth mindset.
